Follow the steps to manually set up the DailyJournal on any disk drive, including flash drives.
Unzip the file which you downloaded from our site. Usually in Windows this simply means double-clicking the zip file.
You will see two files inside the zip folder --
DailyJournal.exe -- main application
ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.dll -- library used to zip up files when backup is used.
Copy the two files to the location where you would like to run the Daily Journal.
First Time Run
The first time you run the application and save an entry, the application will automatically create a year-month directory where it will store the RTF (rich text format) file which represents the entry.
Example
For example I'm running mine from the \Apps directory on my removable flash drive (G:).
That's the directory where I initially dropped those two files.
You can see that I have quite a few entries in there.

Now, any time you would like to run the program you just need to double-click the DailyJournal.exe and it'll start up. If you would like a shortcut on your desktop you can create that manually.
